Day two of ‘Transforming India Conclave’ gets good response


Day two of the Transforming India Conclave 2026 organised by SSVM Institutions received positive response on Tuesday (September 1, 2026) with award ceremonies and interactions with prominent sport personalities.

Addressing the gathering, Abhinav Bindra, Olympic Gold Medal Winner said, “Talent alone is not enough. You have to bring together balance, stability, your mind and your heart.”

The event was inauguration by Dr. Manimekalai Mohan, Founder & Managing Trustee, SSVM Institutions and the welcome address delivered by Ms. Srisha Mohandoss, Director, SSVM Institutions. Air Commodore Prashanth Balakrishnan Nair, Astronaut-Designate, Gaganyaan Mission, Indian Air Force, interacted with students as part of the Inspirational Guru Awards – External, Batch 1.

Mr. Nair presented awards to educators and school leaders whose work and journeys serve as an inspiration to young minds. The awardess were Cherish Cahoon, Founder & Head of School, Valor Heights, Texas USA; Swati Sohni, Senior School Biology Coordinator, Scottish High International School, Gurugram; Raya Mukhopadhyay, Head of the Sociology Department, Assam Valley School, Tezpur; Prapti Parashar, PYP Co-ordinator, IB Program, Prometheus International School, Noida; Nagalaxmi M., Principal, Pallavi International School, Telangana; Hariharan J. Subramanian, vice Principal, Amrita Vidyalayam, Kovur, Madurai, and Karthikeyan K., TGT Science, government Higher Secondary School, Karayambathur, Puducherry.

Mr. Bindra presented the Inspiration Guru awards to the following: Manga Rao Kuncham, Principal & Resident Chief Operating Officer, Abhyasa International Residential School, Tooparan, Telengana; Abdul Saleem, PGT Chemistry, JBAS Memorial Matriculation School, Chennai; Shanthi Seetharaman, PGT Economics, PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Tambaram, Chennai; Kanagadurga Madhavan, PGT Biology, Kikani Vidhya Mandhir, Chennai; Priyadarshini C., Academic Coordinator, Parvathys Anugraha International School, Dindugal; Mukesh Mahendran, Skill Development Trainer, KG Institutions, Coimbatore.

The conclave also focused on performing arts with Rukmini Vijayakumar, Bharatnatyam dancer, choreographer and artistic director.

The afternoon featured a session with the management, followed by an interaction with Ruturaj Gaikwad, Indian cricketer and captain of Chennai Super Kings, who shared perspectives from his journey in sport, leadership and achievement. Winners of the studentpreneur awards – external, were as follows: first place – AIDE – Advik Iyer (class VIII), Scottish High International, Gurugram, second- Shrutika Saravanan (class XI), Rakshitha Gnanasekaran (Class XI), The Ashok Leyland School, Hosur and third – Mercy Ilaveyini (class IX), Chennai Public School, Anna Nagar.
